A Few Thoughts on an Unforgettable Day…

SUNDAY was for lack of better words… AMAZING. This weekend a spiritual fire was fed.

    on fire

No, there wasn’t any physical fire. But the people’s hearts are aflame!  If your congregation is looking for a speaker, look up BRAD HARRUB!

Brad is a scientist by degree. A speaker by profession. A preacher by talent. But mostly a big blessing to the people in Martin, TN.

Brad presented seminar messages all week about EVIDENCE against EVOLUTION. The CASE for the CREATION. And Saturday night’s message was eye-opening ATHEISM in AMERICA.

All of these messages screamed… “WAKE UP, PEOPLE!” With the overwhelming proof available in the existence of an ALMIGHTY GOD, it really puts mankind in perspective!

The most-needed lesson was Sunday morning’s “7 REASONS WE”RE LOSING OUR CHILDREN.” Not a typical lecture you expect from a SCIENTIST.

But what a response we witnessed…

We saw 12 people respond asking for prayers of the church.

We saw 2 people baptized into Christ, placing their faith in Jesus Christ.

We saw 4 people place membership with the FAMILY at the Martin church.

I heard it said, “SATAN REALLY TOOK A BLOW TODAY.” And that’s exactly what happened. The devil loves our COMPLACENCY. He loves when we get COMFORTABLE. He loves when we stop CARING about spiritual matters.

But it is an awesome thing to see the Word of God CONSUME our lives, CONVICT our hearts, and bring us to our knees in CONFESSION.

    • I’m so PROUD to be part of this puzzle.
    • I’m so PROUD to be a piece of God’s fabric in Martin, Tennessee.
    • I’m so PROUD to see teenagers’ hearts pricked by the power of the gospel.
    • I’m so PROUD to be a recipient of the sacrifice and love of a SAVIOR who died for us.
    • I’m so PROUD to see people’s hearts opened.
    • I’m so PROUD of the evidence pouring forth from creation, the design that demands a designer.
    • I’m so HUMBLED to taste the goodness of God.
    • I’m so HUMBLED by the patience the Lord displays through us, the worst of sinners.
    • I’m so HUMBLED to hear the confessions of my fellow brothers and sisters.
    • I’m so HUMBLED in the reminder of how short i fall of HIS GLORY.
    • I’m so HUMBLED to feel God’s Spirit as He fills, heals, comforts and forgives us.
    • I’m so HUMBLED by the overwhelming way that God reaches through timelines, generations, cultures, nations and stereotypes to reach those who don’t believe. To find the lost. To save the dying.

This weekend a spiritual fire was fed. The people in Martin are hungry and thirsting for righteousness. And it prides and humbles me altogether…
